Dear Neighbors and Friends of Clark Park,
We are looking forward to a busy schedule of events this spring and summer. Most of the groups who ask for large event permits will be back. However, there will be less space for the events to take place. As you are aware, the upper A section of Clark Park has been undergoing construction as part of a major revitalization project. If all goes as planned the fence surrounding A park will come down in late spring. At the request of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Clark Park, the City Parks and Recreation Division will not issue permits for A park during the rest of the year. The obvious intent here is to allow new seed and sod to take full root and minimize traffic in the restored A park for the remainder of the year.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you, the immediate neighbors, of the schedule of 2011 large events that will be taking place in the lower sections of Clark Park:
April 16 : Uhuru Flea Market / Earth Day
May 7: Spruce Hill Community Association May Fair
