Dogs needed for Penn Vet Study

The Veterinary Clinical Investigations Center at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is recruiting dogs for the following studies, which may benefit you and your dog:

FREE SPAY SURGERY FOR HEALTHY FEMALE DOGS

If you have a healthy female dog that weighs at least 10 pounds and needs to be spayed (fixed), she may be eligible to participate in a study evaluating the effects of fluid administration during a routine spay surgery. The study covers the cost of the pre-operative examination, blood work, surgery and overnight stay following surgery.

IS YOUR DOG GETTING STIFF? DOES HE LIMP AFTER PLAYING?

Your dog may qualify to participate in a study for dogs with arthritis. No prior diagnoses from your vet needed, we will take x-rays of your dog’s affected joint to confirm arthritis. There is no cost to participate and benefits include free blood work, x-rays, pain medication and a $100 American Express gift card for your participation.
