This is a note to remind you of the events in Clark Park starting this Labor Day Weekend.
First of all, West Philadelphia’s famous Curio Theatre will present an adaptation of William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies in Clark Park, on September 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 9th. All performances will be in the Bowl, and start at 7 p.m. Tickets are not necessary.
On Saturday, September 3rd, members of the Miss Rockaway Armada (in collaboration with Spiral Q Puppet Theater) will lead a bike powered parade all the way to Clark Park. The parade will end at Clark Park at 6:30 PM, where the Miss Rockaway Armada will stage a live performance on pieces of their floating sculptures, which will be transformed into a multifaceted stage in the center of Clark Park.
Bodies of Text III will begin at Clark Park C, at the corner of Woodland Ave and 43rd/45th Streets, at 4 and 7 pm on September 3rd.
