On Monday, October 21st at 7:00pm in Lecture Hall A in Griffith Hall at the University of the Sciences (S.43rd St. between Chester Ave. and Woodland Ave.), the Friends of Clark Park will once again hold their board elections. This is a very important meeting for members, as we choose our leadership and make crucial decisions that will impact the future of the park. This year, President Erin Engelstad will step down to make room for the new guard. Douglas Naphas runs unopposed for the position of president. Doug has been deeply involved in the Friends of Clark Park since 2010. He has shown incredible dedication to the group and represents us each week at theFoCP merchandise table at the Saturday Farmers’ Market. He most recently served as Secretary and has provided the board with his immaculate record keeping skills. Joining Doug on the ballot and also running unopposed for the role of vice president will be Chip Natarajan. Chip has also served on the board since 2010. He is a dedicated board ambassador of the park who has served our community well with his willing and helpful spirit. Frank Chance, a stalwart of the board who possesses a remarkably vast institutional knowledge, will run for the role of secretary. We will once again elect our beloved Bill Moriarty as treasurer. We need all members to attend in order for our elections to be successful! Please join us and have your voice heard by voting for our new leadership.
