Join Us at Party in the Park on May 19th

Join us on May 19, 2018 from 4-8pm to help celebrate the Friends of Clark Park’s sixth annual Party in the . with a Beer Garden featuring beers from Dock Street Brewery and great local food trucks such as Bright Yellow Creamery and Taco Don Memo. It is a perfect event for the whole family with lawn games, hammocks, Pétanque lessons and more! Everyone is welcome and FoCP Members get their first drink free!

The Party in the Park also serves as a major fundraiser for Friends of Clark Park which enables us to continue our work to keep Clark Park the wonderful neighborhood hub it is today.  Friends of Clark Park are focusing on a major new initiative for 2018: Clean & Green. This program is about keeping Clark Park beautiful and consists of two separate projects. Project Clean is about improving trash cleanup around the park. The program will work in conjunction with PP&R to ensure the best possible level of staffing and supplement the city’s effort with a private contractor throughout the summer. This along with volunteer support days will work to keep the trash and litter from become overwhelming over the peak summer months. Inspired by the Woodland’s Grave Gardener program Project Green is focused on improving the gardens in the park by creating small volunteer crews to manage each garden. This is meant as a sustainable way to ensure the gardens get the love they need to keep them beautiful. We are always looking for volunteers so if you would like to help out with either project please let us know at Volunteer@friendsofclarkpark.org.

Thank you to our great sponsors for help us host this wonderful event including University of the Sciences, Greenzang Properties, Knickerbocker Properties, U3 Ventures, University City Review, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and the Fairmount Park Conservancy. Party in the Park helps the Friends of Clark Park support these great initiatives and much more so come out on May 19th and show your LOVE for Clark Park!
